Honeymoon

We finally decided and booked our honeymoon !!!  We are going to the Riviera Maya, which is near Cancun.  It is a very beautiful place with a white sandy beach and a really pretty ocean.  There are lots to do, but if we just want to relax on the beach we can do that too.  We are SO excited !!  It will be very nice to get away.

Engagement Pictures

Jeff and I got our engagment pictures taken today.  We went up the mountain over by Nephi.  It was really pretty up there with all of the different fall colors.  Karly took some really cute pictures!!  Jeff and I had so much fun.  You will see our engagment pictures when you get our invitations : )

I have posted some of my bridal pictures....I hope you like them; I know I do : )  They turned out really well!!  Tomorrow Jeff and I are going to get our engagment pictures taken.  We are wearing white and blue shirts with jeans....we are also going to take some silly pictures, so we bought a Coke and Pepsi shirt LOL it will be a lot of fun.  Next on my agenda is ordering the invitations.  I am also going to make an appointment to talk to the florist and the baker.  Five months seems like a long time, but it's really not if you think about it.  Jeff and I have been engaged for five months!  It will go by really fast especially with the holidays around the corner.  I can't wait !!!!!!!!

Bridal Pictures

I got my bridal pictures taken yesterday.  It was a lot of fun!!!  We took some pictures at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building....we got some really pretty pictures there.  We also went to Memory Grove.  Also a very pretty place.  I can't wait to see how the pictures turned out : )  Jen said that she might post one of my pictures on her blog, so if she does, I will let you all know, so you can check it out.

So, what's next on our wedding agenda???  Our engagement pictures will be taken on October 3rd by Jeff's sister in law, Karly Nelson.  She said there is a really pretty waterfall, so we are going to go there....its about an hour and a half away.  Jeff and I need to go get some shirts for our pictures, we may just stick with Jeans.  I was thinking of buying some blue shirts...we won't be matching, but Jeff looks really good in blue, so I am going to find a semi nice blue shirt for Jeff and I to wear.  After we get our pictures back, we will need to start deciding on our invitations.

We still need to find an officiant, a baker and a florist.  We may go with the baker and florist that Carmelle suggested.  I'm not sure when I'm going to meet with them....we still have six months, so that gives us plenty of time.  Oh we also need to figure out music and make our wedding video that we are going to play at the reception.

We have been thinking of our honeymoon.....we want to go on a caribbean cruise : )  We need to talk to a travel agent.  If anyone knows of a good travel agent, let us know.

I'm probably forgetting a few more things.  LOL  but we are on our way to a fantastic wedding !!!!!!

Wedding Update Part2

I mentioned our bridesmaids, but I didn't mention our groomsmen or our flowergirls or our ringbearer.  So, here they are.....the best man is Adam, who has been Jeff's best friend for over ten years!  The groomsmen are Sean, who has been Jeff's friend and World of Warcraft buddy for a few years and his two brothers, Jason and Corey.

We are going to have four very cute flower girls....Kaitlin and Madison, (their parents are Jeff's sister and brother in law, Abbie and Josh), Karissa, (her parents are Jeff's best friends, Alicia and Adam) and Aevarie, (her parents are Jeff's brother and sister in law Karly and Corey).  Our very cute ringbearer is going to be Ezekiel.  I am very excited to have all of these cute kids in our wedding party.  They all have their own cute personalities and I know that everyone else will love them too!!

Jeff and I have talked about having Ezekiel walk Cody down the aisle with the pillow and the rings on Cody's back....Cody would be in a cute tuxedo and match Ezekiel, but we thought that Cody would not sit still through the ceremony...LOL he is a very hyper dog and is shy the first time he meets people.  Oh well, it was a fun thought.

Guess what?  I am getting my bridals done in two weeks!!!  I have two weeks to lose ten pounds, but I can do it : )  I have already worked out for forty minutes today.  My goal is to work out everyday for twenty minutes and drink water only and no fast food until after my bridals.  It will be tough, but I'm sure I can do it.  Wish me luck!

Wedding Update Part1

We are getting married at Carmelle Reception Center on March 12th, 2011 : )  Jeff and I love Carmelle, although the only thing we don't like about it is that alcohol is not allowed on the premises.  Oh well, we can drink afterwards.  LOL.  Jeff and I have talked about having a bar at the reception, but we both agreed it would be best not to have a bar.  That's why we decided to go with Carmelle.

Our wedding colors are Navy blue, Silver and White.  I have the bridesmaids dresses picked out.  They are a beautiful navy blue color, full length gowns and I'm excited for my girls to try them on.  My maid of honor is my sister, Lindsey Peery and my three bridesmaids are Holly Hohler (my best friend since middle school), Natalie Nuttall, (my really good friend for over five years) and Cheryl Malm (my good friend for a few years)

My weddind dress is extremely pretty and so is my veil!!  I would explain what it looks like, but I don't want Jeff to know yet LOL....I'm getting my bridal pictures taken the second weekend in September, because I wanted to get them done while the flowers are still out.  I also met with my makeup artist yesterday...she is super nice and she did an amazing job !!  The only thing I need to get before my bridals are my jewlery and my shoes.  I'm going shopping next weekend to pick those out.  I also need to get may hair done and my nails done.....I am SOOOOO excited !!!!!  My photographer is Jen Herem and she is an amazing photographer!  She is really nice and I know she will make it fun!

We are still deciding on when to get our engagement pictures taken.  I'm trying to get them done the first week in October, but we will see what happens.  Jeff's sister in law, Karly is going to be taking our engagement pictures.  Jeff said there are some places around where she lives that will be fun to take pictures at.

I talked to the florist yesterday and we picked out our flowers...they are White Lillies, White Roses and Dark Blue Delphiniums.  These flowers are so pretty together!!  We ordered my bridal bouquet for my bridal pictures and I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Well, I think that's about all of the plans that we have so far.  It's slowly coming together : )

The proposal

I am so excited to tell you how he proposed !!!  Girls....get your kleenex's out before you read this.  We have our date night once a week and this night was just like all the other date nights....dinner and a movie.  Jeff works at the theater, so he was able to get us free tickets which was really nice!  We decided a week before that we wanted to see Iron man 2, so that morning he bought us the tickets.  Oh this was Wednesday May 19th, 2010.  We got our popcorn and drinks and walked into our theater.  I asked him where our seats were and he said "L14 an 15" and I said "aw cute...L for love"  LOL  So, we sit down and Jeff sat on my right side and for a few seconds he said "this is too wierd, I like sitting on your left side" I thought that was a little strange, but I didn't mind.  We swapped seats and he said he forgot napkins, so he got up and left....when he came back it was almost time for the movie to start.  The lights went low and all of a sudden on the screen it had hearts on it and words that said "will you marry me steph?" and Jeff got down on one knee and pulled out this beautiful ring....by this time, I was so amazed.  I thought I was dreaming !!  Jeff said "Please Steph, please say yes".  Everyone was looking at us....and when I say everyone, I mean that half of the theater was full!  Jeff's face was red and I was so in love!!!  I said yes of course I will : )  and I kissed him over and over again.  Everyone in the theater was cheering for us.  HOW ROMANTIC !!!!!!  I never thought in a million years that he would propose to me this way.  It was amazing!  I don't remember much of the movie, I just remember smiling the whole night and kissing Jeff and looking at my ring.  He picked out the ring himself.....kept it a secret for quite sometime....I had no idea!  He is and will always be the love of my life : )

How we met

Jeff and I have known each other for a little over eight years!  What took us so long to get married?  Well, that's another long story all in itself.  LOL.  Jeff and I met at Jordan Commons....we both worked there.  I worked in Concessions, later on in the vault and Jeff worked in Commissary.  It took Jeff asking me out a few hundred times before I said yes....but boy was it worth the wait!!  Our first date took place at Jeff's friends house.  They were having a poker night.  It was a lot of fun, even though I lost.  Jeff and I talked a lot when we were at work and we also kept in touch throughout the years.  We eventually became more serious about two years ago.  We moved into our first apartment and later into our first house : )  We have our arguments like every other couple, but we get through them and know that we still love each other.  I strongly believe in the saying that "Things happen for a reason".  Jeff and I have our differences, but we also have things in common....which makes our relationship how we like it.  I wouldn't want it any other way.
